Wonky Log Cabin Tutorial
I'm sure there are plenty of quilters out there that would have no problem whatsoever figuring out how to make a wonky log cabin block. I'm just not one of them. Always have had problems figuring out simple spacial things, which is why painting and drawing have always eluded me. So I googled "wonky log cabin" and up came this great tutorial from Tallgrass Prairie Studio. In fact, I learned a new trick about putting the log you're sewing on the bottom so as to keep track of your cross seams more easily.
My attempt at this block will have to wait for today. It's 102 outside, my daughter is still at her sleep over, and the wonderful husband just made me a low-cal cocktail. I must take advantage of this last bit of summer. There's always enough time to squirrel myself inside. Cheers!
